Energy arbitrage
Charge the battery when energy is cheap (off-peak), discharge it when energy is expensive (peak).
DownsideMargins change year-round and can shrink to almost nothing in some months.
Energy storage orchestration for DCFC sites
evPower.ai provides a hardware-agnostic solution that plugs seamlessly into any existing DCFC site to maximize RoI and driver experience using proprietary field-proven ML models.
BESS at DCFC sites today
DCFC operators deploy BESS for one of two reasons, and commit its full capacity to it:
Charge the battery when energy is cheap (off-peak), discharge it when energy is expensive (peak).
DownsideMargins change year-round and can shrink to almost nothing in some months.
Supply power beyond the site limit: the grid connection, or a virtual limit set to reduce demand charges.
DownsideRevenue potential is volatile and brings uncertain returns.
evPower seamlessly increases BESS RoI and the site's quality of service, using smart ML algorithms and real-time power control over the BESS and the chargers.
How it decides
A model trained on the site's own sessions predicts demand, peak windows and tariff spread, then splits battery capacity between peak shaving and arbitrage.
One engine allocates power to every connector and to the battery, so each discharged kWh goes where it earns most: an EV that would otherwise be throttled, or the peak tariff.
